finaly a background even lol praises , the charackter u nailed the anatomi the cat laying on her leggs is adorable only thing i cud put a finger on is try to use more contrasts in you color variations , if you put a black color layer on topp of your drawing evrything woud be pretty much in the same value [det blir litt grĺtt o.o ]
on the pose i woud have lowerd the char cuting some parts of th grass and try to make a hill behind her in lighter color , making th viwer looking into the picture , puting the shade part on the char from the leafs the tree is missing

Oh, yes, that does make sense, I can see it now that you've mentioned it. I guess I just instinctively go for the same values all the time maybe? I've been trying to follow your advice since I read this (I read it about a week after you replied, but I've just been too lazy/busy to reply before. Again, Sorry!)
Those are some great tips about the background ; o ; I'm obviously still very inexperienced with backgrounds, but those tips helped me understand some more. Also, haha, yeah, I absolutely forgot the shade from the three orz

One thing that I think would make it sooo much better is, if you had more time, to study cat anatomy a bit more. Cats are so hard to draw orz

//shot//I know right OTL;; I think that since I've finally become quite confident and quick with my human anatomy I've started applying it too much to every other living being I'm drawing ´A` (if that makes any sense). And I also didn't think it necessary to study cat anatomy.. BIG MISTAKE.
I hope to be able to study all sorts of animal anatomy after I've finished my commissions, though. I have this awesome book on it which I've been looking forward to reading~
Yes, I would sooo have loved to spend more time with the grass. Since I did it last it sadly became the most rushed part. I learned a lot from it and think I can do better next time, though :3 haha I actually used that second tutorial, but maybe you can't see it because I executed it so badly ´ _`;;
Hmm.. true... //studies picture// I think the right eyebrow might be a bit too far down and small ¤-¤;; since I rushed it I didn't really take the time to look for small imbalances like that, but thanks ;v; I hope I can get the time to fix some of these fails sometime.

I always assume cats are easy to draw every time I try. Then the cat heads turn out awful, I can't figure out the legs, and the paws make me cry. Then I give up and substitute the cat with a tiny human //shot

Grass is hard. I wish I could say I've seriously tried it before, but I really haven't ;_;
